Why did it have to be a snake?

OK. So I'm laying in bed last night thinking to myself how I really need to get to Lowes first thing in the morning and get the trim for the bottom of our front door.
But first, lets go back to earlier in the day shall we?
It was a nice day, sunny, a little breeze from the west, and while trimming the roses in the front I looked down to find a stinking snake hanging out on the stump of the old Cherry tree. Now it was only a little guy. About 18" long or so but nonetheless, he was a snake. IN MY FRONT YARD. So as any guy would do, I freaked out and told Emily that I needed a man! Someone that could capture this beast and remove it.
I didn't want to hurt it, I just wanted it gone. Of course Emily and Sue could be heard from Beaverton. They were really messed up.
So I got me a stick and a bucket. As I tried to get eem' I somehoe launched him about 20' into the air to near the mailbox. Wow! Snakes fly. I finally got him into the bucket and let him go in the back so he could grow up and get bigger. Oh boy!
Hayden was bummed cause he wanted to hold him. We will be admitting Hayden to his therapy classes soon.
So, I got the trim and in a few minutes, I will put it on so the slithery little guy won't invite himself for dinner. Dinner of course being me.........

I like snakes! Especially the harmless type!!

I used to always see them around my house in Aloha. I wonder what happened to them all? I miss them, though.

I know, I know.... She's afraid of orcas but not snakes.

I make TOTAL sense, you all just don't understand....

I am happy to announce Jim has blocked the "snake door". He attached the strip under the front door and no snake of any size can walk, errr "slither" into the Mac abode anymore.
By the by, Jim was not kidding about Em and I freaking out. We were truly unhinged.

Un-freaking-hinged actually!
